Job Role – Grow, development and maximise delivery of viable differentiated products for Done For You clients, with guidance from senior management

Done For You is a service where Ignite Brands will identify, source and launch a viable product for a client and take it to $10,000 in sales revenue per month.

Main tasks, Duties, Responsibilities
To ensure the client orders a good quality product from a reliable supplier
To source new quality factories that can provide products that meet our design requirements
To build a database of quality supplier contacts across multiple product areas
To build relationships with suppliers and continually access their performance to ensure we have the best supplier working for our clients
To work closely with the suppliers on product development
To order and access samples, keeping records and tracking information
To access samples based on quality, spec, price, factory communication and terms
Negotiating price and terms with suppliers
Identify testing and labelling requirements and arrange with suppliers
Ensure products move through the service according to agreed deadlines

Essential
5 year experience of working as a Product Developer or Sourcing Agent
Ability to work across all product types
Able to source factories and build relationships
Ability to work as part of an international team
Strong negotiation skills
Knowledge of testing requirements for US market
Strong time management skills
Organised
Eye for detail
Fluent in Mandarin and in English both written and verbal

Preferred
Experience in sourcing products for sale on Amazon.com USA

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Attend daily sourcing meeting via zoom with UK
Review processes regularly and suggest improvement

Hours – 40 hours per week

目前项目申请人数不多,主要原因可能是因为他要求录一个60秒的视频。这个视频我可以录制一下,就算不成功,也可以当做自己以后的自我介绍用。
我顾虑最大的就是他需要每周40个小时全职,$2500美金。而且每天还需要开会。
当前是申请阶段。我也在想要不要在proposal中就问清楚为什么需要每周40个小时和每天开会。怎么说服不做全职一直是我的一个薄弱点。
请问超哥,在proposal阶段,就这个全职和每天开会的事情我要不要直接问,或者有没有委婉的方式来和客户说一下。
想达到的目的就是拿下这份工作,并且不是全职,proposal中哪里需要改进下。

This is Rui in Shanghai, China.
I’m excited to apply for this task. I’ll be a perfect fit for this role. Here are 3 reasons.

-With much experience in product sourcing and product development
I have searched for a wide range of products before, such as wooden products, textiles, clothing, metal products, baby products, pet products, beddings packaging, outdoor products, etc. Some are existing products, some are needed to be developed from the design. Usually, I will search for at least 3 manufacturers for clients’ comparison, and also will do initial research on a third business website to check their legitimacy to make sure they are reliable.

-Be familiar with the whole sourcing process
More than 8 years in the Chinese sourcing area, I’m familiar with all the sourcing processes, such as ordering and checking samples, placing the orders, following up the production, arranging inspections, shipping to Amazon FBA, etc. You will get my proven skills.

-Work hard and positive
If you have any questions about the project, I will reply within 24 hours. If the factories meet questions during the production, I will communicate with them to try to find a solution first, then wait for you or your clients’ approval. Everything will be transparent with you. You can have full control of the process.

May I know how many products need to be searched for every day? I just would like to know why there is a zoom meeting daily and why it needs 40 hours per week.

对于自由职业高手来说,我从来就不建议承接任何全职工作。

然而,在新手期和成长期,是可以考虑有条件接受的。

本质上来讲,全职工作的特点是:

  • 一周需要干满大约40小时
  • 在规定的固定时间需要工作
  • 小时费率会比正常自由职业低不少

客户需要的,是一个比较长期的承诺,这样的工作往往会更稳定一些,但这是朝九晚五的远程工作变种。

在自由职业初期,接不到足够单的时候,为了补充收入,可以妥协接一接。

客户的需求是全职,你想要改变客户的需求,通常来讲是很难的(大概率机会很小),但不是说完全没有机会。

你需要从根本上了解,客户需要这个职位的工作量,目的和意义。(要看你觉得值不值得花这个时间去分析)

因为找自由职业和全职的远程工作者本身是两个概念,也完全是两种生活和工作模式。

开会和全职这些都不是障碍,在选择是否申请项目时,要考虑的是从这个项目可以学到什么东西。

并不一定是要真的拿到工作才去申请。至少从这个项目,你可以知道他们打算如何设计这样的产品,什么样的客户是终端客户会买单。。。

如果目标是奔着拿工作去的。那你担心的问题确实需要一一解决。

但如果客户本身就需要一个随叫随到的全职,你要推翻的难度就比较大。

通常来说,我之前推荐大家采取的方式,是先从承诺一周10-20小时开始,如果顺利可以升级到及时响应的套餐,假如预算合理,你甚至都可以聘用一个助理。

但这里最大的问题又出现了预算的问题,在客户的计算中,这个工作仅仅是15美金/小时。

因此,你需要有充分的心理准备。

如果你依然感兴趣,我更建议你把这些问题放到面试中去谈,在书面谈这些问题,并不是合适的渠道。
