Zenith Global Ltd is a specialist consultancy in Food and Beverage based in the UK. We work with major international organisations and have an exciting opportunity for you to work on one of the global projects.

This project is a data project, involving local production, import & export, and consumption of a commodity. Your task is to find out the level of local production, the demand, and the trends and the forecast.

In some markets, not all, there is a short commentary required but this is not extensive, involving a summary of findings on consumption level (several bullet points of key facts).

Regions involved:
Latin America (Spanish/Portuguese speaker)
North America
Asia Pacific
Middle East
Africa

The ideal candidate is/has:
- A native speaker/level speaker of English
- Ideally lives in one of the above regions mentioned
- Excellent spoken/written English, at advanced and native level
- Extensive experiences in primary research, both telephone and face-to-face, cold calling
- Confident on the phone in a professional manner
- A self-starter/proactive/ not afraid to ask questions when in doubt
- Previous experiences working on food and beverage related B2B projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to fill in the data templates (not essential)
- Data analytical skills and experiences, particularly estimations/forecasting (not essential)
- Willing to take on multiple countries if availability allows (not essential)

The tasks required:
-     Some regions only require interviews & online research (Please contact for detail)
- Trade data analysis (import & export) and estimates where necessary
*Trade data & historic data will be provided by Zenith where available
- Research on local production volume vis primary/secondary research
- Excellent level of secondary research skills on food & beverage related subjects
- Making a contact list to call for interviews
*Where there are previous contacts, Zenith will share this with you.
- Conduct interviews (minimum 3 good interviews per country)
*Sample questionnaire (English) will be provided by Zenith Global Ltd.
- Write up interview notes & a summary of secondary findings in English
*The candidate to use a sample questionnaire as a template for this note.
- A summary commentary of the market (top line of several key bullet points) in English

Deliverables:
- A list of contacts in Excel (All regions)
- Minimum of 3 fully completed interview notes & a summary of secondary findings (All regions)
- Fully completed Excel data template with comments, explaining the reasoning for estimations/forecasting where applicable. (Not all regions)

Proposed project fee: approx. $100 -$1000+/ country, depending on the scope agreed.

Timeframe: May-June 2022/ Aug-Sep 2022

Submission of deliverables:

Interview notes & a summary of secondary findings: June 2022
Excel data template & Commentary: end of August/early September 2022

邀请中提到的项目范围缺少了访谈，项目的复杂程度要更低一些。

从你的背景来看，这个工作本质上并没有太大的难度。

●客户特点：
总部位于英国的专业食品和饮料咨询公司，78%雇佣率、平台付费1w+。

这个客户雇佣率非常高，查看历史项目，绝大多数同类项目在500-2000美金。

雇佣的自由职业者的平均小时费率也适合你当前的目标平台领域，大多数在30-50美金/小时。

而且该客户主要外包项目均为调研，因此，如果拿下，就有机会有持续的单子。

这样的客户值得争取。

●当前困难：
理想候选人条件中，不符合的最主要是没有食品饮料B2B项目经验，另外英语水平客户要求是Native or Bilingual也不符合。
没有食品饮料行业相关工作经历、平台上也没有市场调研方面的单子，如何说服客户？

永远不要被客户的硬性条件所限制。

被限制的往往只是你自己。

无论在哪里招募高水平的人才（自由职业者），都是困难的，在Upwork也同样如此。

这个客户需要招募全球不同地区8个自由职业者，有比较专业的要求，这本身就是一个很大的挑战。

项目发布了10天，收到了20-50份proposal，目前仅完成了一名自由职业者的雇佣，还有七名自由职业者的缺口。

你并没有投递过Proposal却收到了邀请，这意味着她还没有收到足够多中文区的申请。

如果没有足够的proposal，客户有两个选择：

• 降低招募的条件
• 取消项目

分析到这里，有两点启发。

• 没有达成理想候选人条件，你也可以申请很多项目（也许你之前已经错过了很多机会）
• 很多的项目其实并没有多少人申请，比如营销类的项目，超哥辅导的很多缺乏经验的学员也能拿下来，就是因为供需比是失衡的。

回应思路：

1. 读完了项目的完整需求，有信心、有能力做好中国部分的工作。

2. 列举2-3个理由，（比如有专业市场分析报告经验，有很强的搜索、验证能力），尽可能针对她邀请中针对中国部分回应

3. 请明确预算、范围并雇佣，如果时间合适马上可以开始，并提供进一步资料并告知有哪些注意事项？

没有让你卖酒，只是调查一点数据，从零开始给自己一点小挑战，这并不难。

另外英语水平客户要求是Native or Bilingual也不符合。

你想多了，客户的要求标得太高。

没有几个人符合的，符合条件的也基本不会申请。

不需要说服，上面的理由就够了。

调研的proposal你以前也写过。

你需要表达你的信心，如果你自己不表达信心，客户怎么相信你。

而且他们要的数据并不难。

你的思路：
阐述过去的工作经常做研究分析，具有数据分析技能和经验，熟练使用Excel。

尽可能围绕客户针对中国市场的要求重点展开即可。

excel可以说，但如果有别的理由，可以忽略excel。

如果能拿下单，请人帮忙润色最终的英文研究摘要。

如果对自己信心不足，当然可以。

但这是拿单之后的事儿。

我们一件一件来。

是否可以请客户提供模板供参考？便于对成果的内容和形式有直接的理解。

当然可以，一般来说这样的项目一定会有。

自由职业者的拿单能力，并不仅仅依赖专业能力。

更多依靠的，是勇气，是学习能力，是沟通能力，是多种能力指标的综合实力和战斗力。

自由职业平台本身是中低端市场，很多客户盲目列出的高要求本身是不合理的。

但如果你没有理解整个市场的逻辑，不了解对手的情况，就可能明明自己挺厉害，却败给那些看起来资质很普通，只是胆子比较大的人。

通过这个单子的分析，可以给到你的启发，并不是你一定能拿下这个单子。

而是帮助你理解，可以尝试的机会其实是很多的，限制机会的，并不是这个世界，而是你自己的内心。
